Preventative Care

At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we’ve crafted a comprehensive care system to support your pet’s health at every life stage. For puppies and kittens, we offer nutritional advice, parasite prevention, and vaccination plans. For adult and senior pets, we focus on internal medicine, diagnostics, and specialized geriatric care to keep your companion thriving.

Wellness visits go beyond managing current health—they help us spot changes early, enabling prompt intervention. This approach not only enhances outcomes but also reduces the cost of treatment. Preventative care is always more affordable than managing advanced conditions.

Our wellness and preventative care includes:

  • 12-Body System Exam: We perform a full-body checkup every six months to monitor all internal and external systems.
  • Customized Vaccination: We create tailored vaccination plans based on your pet’s lifestyle and specific needs.
  • Preventative Blood Work: Routine blood tests help us catch and address hidden issues early.
  • Dental Care: We include a dental exam to monitor oral health, provide product recommendations, and teach at-home care techniques.
  • Parasite Prevention: Our plan safeguards your pet and family from harmful parasites.
  • Nutrition: We offer diet and exercise guidance to support overall health and manage existing conditions.

Routine visits also strengthen the doctor-pet bond, helping us understand your pet’s needs and develop a more personalized care plan. At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we’re committed to keeping your pet healthy and happy for life.

Dentistry

Maintaining your pet’s dental health is essential for a long, healthy life. Dental disease is common in adult pets and can affect their entire body, so regular dental care—both professional and at home—is key to prevention.

At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we offer a full range of dental services to support your pet’s oral health. Our experienced team provides preventive care, cleanings, x-rays, and treatments for any existing dental issues. Regular checkups include exams, ultrasonic cleanings, and, if needed, dental radiographs to detect hidden problems.

Common signs of dental issues in pets include bad breath, discolored or broken teeth, and difficulty chewing. If you notice any of these, call us to schedule an exam as early treatment leads to better outcomes.

During any dental procedure, we ensure your pet’s safety with anesthesia, pre-anesthetic blood work, IV fluids, and continuous monitoring. We also use pain management to keep them comfortable throughout recovery.

You play a critical role in your pet’s dental care. Our team is here to provide tips on brushing and products for at-home maintenance. Together, we’ll help your pet maintain a healthy, happy smile for life!

Diagnostics

When pets are sick or injured, symptoms aren’t always visible, and many pets hide pain well. That’s where veterinary diagnostics come in. These tools allow us to see beneath the surface, helping us diagnose and treat issues accurately and promptly, increasing the chances of a positive outcome.

At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we use a range of diagnostics, from blood tests to x-rays and ultrasounds, all performed in our in-house lab for quick results. These tests help us detect conditions like diabetes, adrenal gland disease, and thyroid disease.

Our diagnostic services include:

  • Blood Work
  • Parasite Testing
  • Infectious Disease Testing
  • Allergy Screening
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Testing
  • Digital X-rays (including dental)
  • Ultrasound Imaging

For specialized testing, we partner with trusted external labs to ensure fast, accurate results. Whatever the issue, we’re dedicated to diagnosing and resolving your pet’s health concerns swiftly and effectively.

Surgery

At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we understand that surgery can be a stressful experience for both you and your pet. Our skilled surgical team is dedicated to making every procedure, from routine spays and neuters to complex surgeries, as safe and comfortable as possible.

Our veterinarians use modern equipment and techniques to ensure top-quality care, always prioritizing your pet’s safety and comfort. Before surgery, we conduct a thorough exam and diagnostic tests to confirm your pet is fit for the procedure.

Once cleared, we develop a customized pain management plan using safe anesthetics, and our technicians monitor vital signs closely throughout. After surgery, your pet recovers in our warm, comfortable recovery area, where we continue monitoring closely.

Our team will update you post-surgery, providing aftercare instructions and pain management plans for a smooth recovery at home.

For all your pet’s surgical needs, trust the compassionate, skilled team at Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital.

Nutrition & Weight Management

Good nutrition and a healthy weight are essential for your pet’s well-being. Even a few extra pounds can increase their risk for health issues like arthritis and diabetes. The team at Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital is here to guide you in achieving optimal nutrition for your pet.

Our nutritional counseling starts with a full health assessment, considering factors like age, breed, weight, and activity level to create a tailored nutrition plan. We’ll advise on feeding amounts and frequency to prevent weight gain.

Exercise is also key to a healthy lifestyle. We’ll recommend appropriate activities and intensity levels to keep your pet active, adjusting for age or medical conditions. Together, we’ll develop a diet and exercise plan to support your pet’s health and happiness.

Boarding

At Noah’s Westside Animal Hospital, we go beyond medical services to offer full-service boarding and professional grooming, making us your one-stop shop for pet care.

When you need to leave town, let us be your pet’s home away from home. Our modern boarding facility provides cozy kennels, fresh bedding, and daily walks for dogs. Your pet will enjoy exercise, attention, and all the comforts of home, cared for by our compassionate staff.
